چکیده

Ontology Matching is nowadays a vivid area of Computer Science. There are several OM tools looking for correspondences between entities of ontologies. These correspondences are usual simple equivalence mapping pairs classto-class or property-to-property. In our work we concentrate on diverse kinds of semantic structures in ontologies in terms of their detection and mutual matching. For this kind of matching not only equivalence relations as well as not only homogeneous correspondences are envisaged. The paper is a report from the first phase of the work aiming at ontology matching via pattern-based detection of semantic structures in OWL ontologies. In this initial phase we mainly pay attention to n-ary relations and their discovery in OWL ontologies. Subsequent phases lie in description of conditions of semantic matching between semantic structures.

Centralized Clustering Method To Increase Accuracy In Ontology Matching Systems

Ontology is the main infrastructure of the Semantic Web which provides facilities for integration, searching and sharing of information on the web. Development of ontologies as the basis of semantic web and their heterogeneities have led to the existence of ontology matching. By emerging large-scale ontologies in real domain, the ontology matching systems faced with some problem like memory con...

Tools for Pattern-Based Transformation of OWL Ontologies

The high expressivity of the OWL ontology language often allows to express the same conceptualisation in different ways. A simple example is the difference between ‘class-centric’ and ‘property-centric’ modelling style, such that the same notion is modelled as a class in the former (e.g. ‘Purchase’) and an object property in the latter (e.g. ‘bought from’). Such heterogeneity is an obstacle to ...

An Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)

Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...

Towards a new ontology matching system through a multi-agent architecture

This paper presents a new method of ontology matching to improve semantic interoperability. This method takes as input ontologies described in XML, RDF Schema and OWL format. The proposed matching process involves several stages through the analysis of ontologies entities sources, calculates the terminological similarity with several matchers to maximize the discovery of many similar couples. Supporting Ontology-Based Semantic matching in RDBMS

Ontologies are increasingly being used to build applications that utilize domain-specific knowledge. This paper addresses the problem of supporting ontology-based semantic matching in RDBMS. Specifically, 1) A set of SQL operators, namely ONT_RELATED, ONT_EXPAND, ONT_DISTANCE, and ONT_PATH, are introduced to perform ontology-based semantic matching, 2) A new indexing scheme ONT_INDEXTYPE is int...
